This artist's work has always fascinated me with her usage of both digital and traditional elements. She truly uses her knowledge of both elements to bring out the best in her work.
The symmetry is also another interesting aspect here. One part is bold and the other is subdued in the background. It's quite a nice touch.
I really love the usage of the her custom PS brushes to make the background. I find myself moving in closer to my computer screen to take them all in.
One thing that I would like to point out is the the framing. It has been in my past experience that pictures that are "framed" as a part of the piece itself and then put in an actual frame tend to look awkward and distracting. I would remove the brown framing, but keep the cool black stroke edging.
With the "frame" removed, this would be a slick piece of art for your wall with some blue matting and a metal black frame.
Overall, this is a very well done piece and I enjoy very much.
It's interesting how the vision begins with articulated finesse, immediately translating to a frenzied, unintelligible whirlwind... ending again with the ornate wings... if anything it feels like the structure to a song... very intriguing imagery
